I'm no programmer but I do write the occasional VBscript to automate jobs. Feel free to use/modify these scripts but remember you use them at your own risk and that they are based upon my method of doing stuff. No warranty implied or given blah-blah-blah.

wma2mp3.vbs Searches sub directories and converts non-protected WMA files to MP3. Written as I had ripped all my CDs as WMA but then got a mobile phone which plays MP3s and not WMA. Uses an external program called Switch to do the actual conversion.


createM3Uplaylist.vbs Searches sub directories and creates a M3U playlist for any folders containing MP3 files. Needs the File/Directory structure: Artist\Album\TrackNo-SongTitle.mp3


check_error_logs.vbs Searches log folders and sub directories and checks for errors created within a set time period ie last 10 minutes which contain defined message.


Right Click and Choose "Save Link/Target As" to save the files. Left Clicking the link may cause them to run directly with unknown results
